Vitamin E

(also known as the tocopherols) occurs naturally in foods such as nuts, seeds, whole grains,
cold-pressed vegetable oils and dark-green leafy vegetables. Considered an antioxidant superstar,
vitamin E protects cell membranes and other fat-soluble parts of the body. Vitamin E acts as
a powerful antioxidant by neutralizing free radicals in the body that cause tissue and cellular
damage. It imparts luster to the hair. It keeps moisture in when the texture is dry and improves
movement when hair is stiff or brittle.
